Privacy
For anyone who opens a link or press kit Deadline has sent them. Last updated 5 October 2026.
Who's responsible
Deadline is the music name of Peter van Dongen, who decides how this information is used (the “controller”). For questions, or to use any of your rights below, email deadlinemusicuk@gmail.com.
What's recorded when you open a share link
- When you opened it, and when you were last on the page.
- Your rough location (town or city, and country), worked out from your internet connection. Your IP address isn't saved with it.
- Your device in general terms, for example “iPhone · Safari”.
- Which tracks you played, for how long and how far through, and anything you downloaded.
Nothing is recorded before you unlock a password-protected link.
Your IP address is used briefly, in the server's memory only, to stop abuse (such as repeated password guesses or spam comments) and to count a press-kit visit once a day. It's never saved.
What's recorded when you open a press kit
When you opened it, your rough location, your device, and the website that sent you there (just its address, such as instagram.com). A visit is counted once a day.
Comments
If you comment on a track, your name and comment are stored and shown to everyone with the same link, and to Deadline. They may also be read by AI (Claude, made by Anthropic) as part of private feedback on the track for Deadline. They're never published anywhere else.
Why
To know whether the music or press kit reached you and how it landed, so Deadline can follow up. That's Deadline's legitimate interest in promoting his music. Comments are there for you to give feedback if you want to. None of it is used for advertising or sold.
Your choice
“Don't record my visit” at the foot of every link and press kit stops all of this in that browser. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, nothing is recorded in the first place.
Cookies and browser storage
- share_unlock and epk_unlock: remember that you entered the password, for 12 hours. The page needs them to work.
- epk_seen: counts your press-kit visit once a day. Lasts 24 hours.
- Session storage: a random visit number so one visit is counted once. Cleared when you close the tab.
- Local storage: your name for comments and your “don't record” choice, if you use them. Kept until you clear it.
There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Who handles it
- Vercel: hosts the pages and files (US).
- Airtable: stores the records (US).
- n8n: the automation that saves them (Germany).
- Anthropic and Modal: comments only, for the private AI feedback described above (US).
Some of these are in the US, so your information may be processed there under their data-protection terms.
How long it's kept
Visit records are deleted automatically after 12 months. Comments are kept with the track they're on and deleted along with it. You can ask for yours to be deleted sooner at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to see what's held about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to it being recorded. Email deadlinemusicuk@gmail.com. Visits aren't linked to your name, so say which link you opened and roughly when. If you're unhappy with the answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
